Site Update (At Last)!

Wow, it's been a long while! Unfortunately, real life has severely limited my free time, and as such I haven't had any real opportunity to update the site. Not that there's not enough material to update, as there's been a lot going on with Star Wars and with Yoda collectibles. To everyone who's written me an e-mail and hasn't received a reply, I apologize; I simply don't have time to answer all of the back log, but many of the questions are answered in the FAQ page. Please, always check it before writing me. To those who've submitted something, many thanks! I will endeavor to post everything I've received as soon as possible, so please keep it coming! In fact, I'll start it off today! Check out the latest Wallpapers page for two fantastic images from the amazingly talented Ed Draganski. Come back soon for more!

Catching Up With Yoda

The past month brought a lot of interest in the process that created the fantastic special effects in Episode II, in particular the ones that made Yoda so much more than the puppet he once was. Here are links to some of the articles that have recently been written on the subject:

Softimage Reveals Yoda

Softimage.com, who provided ILM with some of its powerful CGI software, will add a behind the scenes look at the creation of the new action star Yoda to their site on June 10. It should make for a great read.

Frank Oz Interview at EW.com

Frank Oz, Yoda's voice and puppeteer in the three Star Wars films before Episode II, was recently interviewed by Entertainment Weekly, revealing what he thought about the character and the technology behind it in the new film. Be sure to check out the article at EW.com.

Site Updates

Two new images were added to the Art Gallery, both by very talented artists that make me wish I knew how to paint! Plus, a brand new poll is up, letting you vote on how much you liked the fight in Episode II (though I can imagine which way this vote will sway). Unfortunately, persistent bandwidth issues have forced the wallpapers off-line once more. However, I'm evaluating several options that might help solve this issue and I hope to have the site completely up again soon.
